Use this open textbook to explore the ideas that make computing more than learning syntax. Study how problems are represented, how procedures operate on data and how systems manage information. For each new concept, construct a small example and explain its behaviour before scaling it up. Wider reading can deepen understanding, but terminology and assessment expectations should still be checked against the course you are taking.
